Hayward AquaRay (W3DV1000)

The AquaRay is designed for small to large pools no deeper than 5′. This unit is a mat style cleaner, meaning it isn’t self propelled and doesn’t clean in a pattern motion. The AquaRay is equipped with a hammer, foot pad, deflector, and skirt disc. The unit will come with 32” standard hoses (12 connector hoses) totaling 32’. The hammer is the only moving part. When suction is applied to the cleaner it causes the hammer to knock back and forth. This action of the hammer causes the machine to hop up and down on the bottom of the pool. The pool circulation pushes the hose and that’s what steers the unit. If you have little to no circulation the AquaRay will not move. Make sure the returns around the perimeter of the pool are all pointing in the same direction to give the AquaRay its best chance at cleaning the entire pool in a timely manner.

Pools and how they work have been a part of my life for over 15 years. In fact I met the love of my life at a pool. I've always loved giving people easy to understand advice to help keep their pools fun, healthy, and circulating. Which is why I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge through the blogging channel. Outside of pools, I enjoy time with my family and friends, being outdoors, and working on cars.
