The Shipley family of Columbus, Ohio was brave enough to extend the construction of their brand new home to add a beautiful pool, pool house and spa that would satisfy the biggest of dreamers here at PoolSupplyWorld. Clayton and David knew exactly what they wanted when searching for their builder, and it shows. Doing research paid off when they got exactly what they had planned, without any problems along the way. The end result is an inviting outdoor entertainment area that will be sure to entertain friends and family for years to come.
Looking at the pool build process and ending results, it’s obvious the build was well planned. One year of planning to be exact. From the stamped concrete upgrade, to the lights used to give a great nighttime ambiance, the build was executed perfectly.
The original plan was to install a vinyl pool and a stand-alone spa that would drop down into a concrete block surround. This way, the Shipley’s could enjoy their spa year around with it’s own separate plumbing and maintenance.
The vinyl liner went in without a hitch, and concrete frame was built for the spa.
Changes Made Along the Way
Large project often change throughout the process, so it’s no surprise the Shipley’s made some compromises and improvements to their original plans. Originally they planned on paving the pool patio with blue stone, but after comparing the cost of the blue stone to stamped concrete, decided to go with stamped concrete. Saving money is always a good thing, and the outcome still looks phenomenal!
The Finished Product
After much planning and hard work, the Shipley’s dream is now a reality. The pool now sparkles in the sun and glows at night.
The Shipley’s friends and family can cool down and enjoy the pool in the summer or relax in the spa during the winter. The pool, spa, outdoor fireplace, and grill make this backyard the perfect venue for entertainment!
